Drift Prac 25-01-08

With the successful start to the 2008 drift season last night we were able to see a whole show case of talent new and old. The night started off a little later than usual as some changes have been made to the start grid layout that needed to be explained to the drivers. The response from the drifters was a positive one as the new setup allows for a better flow of cars and less waiting around to get some track time.

As always there was some carnage caused on track with everyone pushing very hard all night. The biggest incident seen was Steve causing some damage to his sil80 after saying hello to a wall with the front and rear of his car. Wez also had a bit of a mishap in the FC causing some carnage to his new kit and a certain champagne Silvia missing half of his fiberglass front guard and still drifting!

The big stand out for last night would be a fairly new driver in a black and white cefiro who for his only third time on the track was ripping it up with some huge entries through c-red all the way through the hair pin.

Honorable mention also goes to Kermit in the “Kermit Engineering” cefiro for a huge improvement creating some huge smoke all the way through c-red corner.

If this practice is any indication of things to come though out the year I can not wait to get back to the track to see these guys and girls pushing their limits!
